For Ages 2½ - 5 years
Expand your preschooler's universe by enrolling in our Tyke Explorers Program. Kids get to bring a special grown-up to share in the excitement of science and space. Classes are a combination of instructor-led lessons and self-guided, hands-on experimentation and exploration.
With Chabot's park-like setting, hands-on exhibits, laboratories and experienced educators, we guarantee a memorable adventure for you and your child.

The Sun shines brightly during the day. The Moon glows eerily through the night. Learn about the amazing connection between our Sun, Earth and Moon.

Is the Moon made of cheese? Is there a man on the Moon? We will answer these thought-provoking questions as we discover and explore our lunar neighbor. - Tuesday, May 22: Dance of the Planets

Twinkling stars fill our evening skies, as do a number of "wandering stars" that seem to dance among the points of light. Explore the planets, dwarf planets and some other space rocks that make our Solar System unique.

Continent and oceans take their place atop our "blue marble" planet Earth. Learn how the landmasses and bodies of water puzzle together to shape our familiar maps. - Tuesday, July 24: Boat Afloat

Ships ahoy! A day at the beach would not be complete without the sight of boats along the horizon. Make and race boats across "oceans" and make sure they stay afloat with a hefty cargo.
