Get back to school and unleash your inner nerd, spark a new hobby, hobnob with artists and experts, enjoy a show, and relax and contemplate your place in the universe!

PROM
Did you miss your prom? Did you go to prom and have an amazing time…an awful time? Have you ever wanted another chance to experience the magic? Celebrate prom, science center-style with the grown and geeky! Recycled wrapper corsage making, photo booth memories, café conversations about pheromones (talk with Oakland Zoo experts and meet some of their friends), relationships, sex and attraction, and of course dancing are just a few of the things that will make your night memorable. Did we forget to mention a king and queen will be crowned?! Formal attire not required, but we’re sure you’ll have more fun decked out in your finest threads.

Recycled Runway Reincarnated, reinvented, ridiculously hop fashion! Designer Diane Austen, owner of Multiple Threads boutique, will bring her fashion to life with a fashion show throughout the Center. |

Dance Floor Demo Join Oakland's own Linden Street Dance Studio for a night of dancing with some real stars. Guided instruction with Bradley and Vanessa then leads to an open party! Learn some new steps, brush up on old skills and tear up the dance floor. |
| 7pm - 11pm | Photo Booth Memories Prom is not complete without a few posed pics and have we got some backdrops for you! You will definitely be getting bragging rights when you pose for Prom 2012 photos in our Beyond Blastoff exhibit. |
| 7pm - 11pm | Make Stations Forgot to buy your date a corsage? Local florist ran out of boutonnieres? Make your own! Stop at a make station and put a special touch on your flowery arrangement. |

ELECTIVES
You choose! The first-come-first-served theory usually meant that there were a few of you who missed out on some of the cooler electives. At NightSchool, there's always room for one more, no counselor signature needed. Engage in a night of eclectic electives from shop to art, music to dance. Experience a café conversation on linguistics and the art of communication. Electives: Music, Dance, Shop, Art, Band and Foreign Language.
After June, NightSchool's out for summer but our night life is still out of this world. This summer, look to Chabot for engaging activities, drop-in classes, dynamic demonstrations, sci-fi movie showings, workshops and more.
